Gary, a seasoned entrepreneur, heads development for MAYA’s Interstacks™ technology, which makes it possible to assemble unique hardware and software devices out of standard recomposable modules.

Gary is an experienced product-development manager for innovative hardware, software, mobile, and Internet products.

Gary co-founded Dynavox, a company dedicated to helping people with disabilities communicate and extend their reach, and directed product development there. He was instrumental in growing the company to 150 employees before Sunrise Medical acquired it in 1998. He also founded iKnowthat.com, which developed Web-hosted multimedia learning activities, and grew it to 600,000 unique users in schools and homes—forming strategic partnerships with Discovery, McGraw-Hill, and AOL, among others.

Gary has a B.S. in electrical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and holds three patents. He has also won an IDEA award for innovation, is in Sunrise Medical’s hall of fame, and placed second nationally in the Johns Hopkins search for personal computing aids for the disabled.
