Jon helps clients evaluate and refine their business methods as applied to new businesses, channels, or products. He is skilled at working with clients to define product characteristics that meet the needs and desires of users.
He especially enjoys the challenge of reducing complex processes to their essential elements so that they can be rendered in a more usable and scalable way.
Before joining MAYA, Jon worked for eight years in the financial-services industry, where he developed the online capabilities of several large banks. Jon has also worked on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and has been involved in start-up ventures for a wide variety of businesses, from dry cleaning and micro-brew delivery to hotels and airplane-parts distribution.
Jon graduated from Kalamazoo College, where he majored in political science and economics. His interest in the creative process within large organizations led to his honors thesis, in which he analyzed the effects of debt-financed takeovers on the acquiring company’s research and development efforts.
