As a recent University of Pittsburgh computer science graduate, Mike brings an open mind and eager set of hands to MAYA’s research and commercial projects alike.

Before graduating, Mike worked on several commercial and defense projects, mainly for the Carnegie-Mellon Field Robotics Center, including target management/tracking, terrain pathfinding, and personal location awareness. Other undergrad projects focused on Palm OS applications for gas company technicians doing field computation.

Mike aims for the optimum balance of simplicity and elegance in his solutions to problems.

He reads broadly, enjoys movies and live music, and—like any good engineer—tinkers with just about anything he can take apart.
