Paul contributed a chapter to Exposing the Magic of Design: A Practitioner’s Guide to the Methods and Theory of Synthesis , published by Oxford University Press. He addresses the zone of discomfort and uncertainty that lies between design recommendations and translating those recommendations into something actionable and lasting. He writes about how a particular set of diagrams (and the research that fed them) became useful strategic tools to improve stakeholder collaboration on a large, multi-year information architecture project.
