MAYA’s Mickey McManus got programmers at the Steel City Codefest working through the night with a kick-off presentation to the competing teams at Google’s Pittsburgh office. Steel City Codefest was a 24-hour sprint to create apps that would take civic data and make useful products for city residents. MAYA’s Mike Sabatini and Matt Casebeer also helped judge the terrific entries. Over 100 programmers, designers and artists took part in the effort to make technology and data work for people.
