2. Feeling like understanding the conflicts in the middle east a little better? Watch this to first understand the arrogance of our news media in thinking they understand things Then read one of Zbig’s books (I read this one a while ago and found it to be a deeply documented and reasoned analysis of the last three presidencies and their approach to the world). He (Zbig who has been a national security advisor to a democratic president) just came out with a new book (really a conversation) co-written by Brent Scowcroft (the other main character in the conversation, who has been a national security advisor to a republican president). Sounds like they agree on quite a few things in terms of how the world is shaping up and what we can do to help make it less disastrous.
