First, take a few minutes to watch this short documentary film about how a true artist explores himself through glass. The vessels and the film were made by a few of my favorite people.

Back? On with the links…

We bought a 1960 Airstream a few weekends ago to turn into a mobile “Dream Factory” that we’ll be using to teach kids how to sketch and make and doodle and make and test and make things.

I’m thinking about doing a MAYA-thon weekend adventure where we build entirely new cardboard interior inserts for the “Stream of Consciousness” (ok just testing out names). This is what gave me that idea, a world out of cardboard…

Also thinking that we’ll do this on the outside so people can see right through the trailer

Soooo…. I’ve been researching for Airstreamlab.

Um, do think this guy sleeps way too much?
or transformer furniture…

Film mobile…

Yes, this is a 60 year old Spartan Royal Mansion. The company that made these made aircrafts in WW2 and then turned their sights on mobile living… This one sold recently for around $75,000.

But be careful, a bad mp3 could take over your mobile and separate you from your beast…

I would have loved this a few years ago…

Ok, on to the top five…
————-Top Five—————-

1. I’ll be speaking at TEDxCMU this weekend and if you can’t make it it’ll be streaming live this Sunday… I think I’m gonna be in the afternoon sometime. I can’t be sure if my presentation will be amazing or if I will crash and burn in a flurry of quantum dots.

2. Human-centered design for evil, step 1. Follow users.

3. I’ve always enjoyed James Gleick’s books, I’m about halfway through this one and if you are interested in information and the history of how we began to understand it, you pretty much have to read this book…

4. I searched for Kiva and Virginia Tech because I knew they had finished building their own MAYA Kiva a while back (with a bit of Joe’s help) and found this: Terror in the Kiva!

5. Now let’s see all I need is this, and Watson, and I’ve got a James Cameron Movie made flesh (or sans flesh)…

————-The Rest———————-
This is a nice new ad.

Dan Pink, is coming to Pittsburgh soon…

I like the visual style of this one, content is ok too…

Just saw this in London, 100 million sunflower seeds, hand-made, hand-painted, porcelain seeds…

Saw this too, just go to around 00:41 seconds into the video, nice Citroen 2 seater. The interior was one of my favorite parts…

Herzog kills me.

The social smart grid…

Just need a great UI guy!

Google Ideas…

Nice article by a MAYAn Alum.
